In addition to an unwavering patient commitment, Drs. John and Mechelle Hanna have a heart for community service and have volunteered hundreds of hours per year since first opening the doors of MFC in 1990.

The doctors are active in the Childrens’ Miracle Network, an organization dedicated to helping kids by raising funds for 170 children’s hospitals across North America.  They are also strong supporters of the Charlotte Rescue Mission that assists the homeless.  Time, talent and financial assistance are further donated to the Miracle League (a foundation for mentally and physically challenged athletes), Samaritan’s feet and the Monroe Crisis Pregnancy Center.  For years MFC was the proud host of Kids Day America/International, an event where kids meet local town officials, community leaders and heroes from the police and fire department.  There they learn about health, safety and environmental awareness.

Drs. John and Mechelle live out their faithfulness to the Lord, not just in words but in actions, helping to transform lives on a daily basis.  Their willingness is rooted in Scripture: Romans 12:6-7: “God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well…If your gift is serving others, serve them well.”

Dr. John and Dr. Mechelle Hanna have been giving outstanding programs on Lifetime Family Wellness, Nutrition and Exercise with our community for many years.

Matthews Family Chiropractic was recommended to me by my parents, who have been seeing Dr. Hanna for years. Six years ago, I had a successful microdiscectomy but recently ended up pinching my L5 which caused me tremendous pain that was reminiscent of my previous injury that led to back surgery. I was scared and panicked when I called Dr. Hanna but after a thorough exam and x-rays (more thorough than was done when I was having my surgery six years ago!), Dr. Hanna assured me that with consistent chiropractic care, my body could fix the pinched L5 and I could get back to normal. He was absolutely right! I am 99% better about 10 weeks in. He saved me from another surgery and from re-injuring myself further. I am so incredibly grateful for his help and expertise. He is so kind and the entire office staff knew my name and my story immediately which made me feel so important and cared for. I cannot recommend them enough!
